Meet Miss Bergenhagen My name is Miss Melanie Bergenhagen. I was born and raised in Fargo, ND. My parents are divorced so I'm lucky enough to have two great families. My mom lives in Arizona with my step-dad and three brothers. My dad lives in Florida with my step-mom and two sisters. I love them all greatly. I graduated from Fargo North High School and then continued my education to Minnesota State University Moorhead. There I studied Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. I really enjoy working with students. My favorite are the younger elementary kids however, I enjoy them all. The most exciting part of my job is seeing the moment when one student has that ah-ha moment and the light bulb of understanding turns on. Some of my hobbies include playing around on my computer, building my website, looking for new teaching ideas, playing tennis, reading, and being with friends and family. Most of all though, I enjoy working with students. Even though I am their teacher, they are able to teach me so much. All children are precious. Here are some pictures to help you get to know me a little better. I was a Dragon Amabassador for 3 years. Dragon Ambassadors are official student representatives of the University with specific connection to the Office of the President, the Admissions Office and the MSUM Alumni Foundation. I worked for the Housing Department at Minnesota State University Moorhead for four years. I really enjoyed being a Complex Coordinator and an Apartment Assistant. I also managed to set the record of longest student employee in the department. This is my mom, Marlys, and step-dad, Brian. They live in Arizona with my three brothers. Picture of my dad, Gary, and step-mom, Jennifer coming soon. They live in Florida with my two sisters. I have one very stubborn cat named Missy Mae. We do not keep her in a cage. This was taken during our trip to Arizona after she decided she wanted to drive. This is my old roommate, Jenny and I. We no longer live together, however she was a great roommate. In May I finished my Bachelors in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. I am really happy to have double majored.
